I gave my "friend" my golden fleece and he now believes GLD is going down to 78. Too bad you can't put a truth meter on the screen.

Cheers!

DRYS actually look pretty promising with its inverted head & shoulders pattern. EXM also has a somewhat retarded looking IHS pattern that should bode well in the intermediate term. But both of these stocks made their huge run-up in 2007, only to give most of it back just as quickly. These "pump & dump" stocks are not where I would want to park my nest egg.

Just my worthless 2-cents.

Niko...they also have low a float so they are easily manipulated...I traded them on the run up up last year, also lost money when the bad news came out, something China said. I really don't care what China said, I have walked the loss off and now will trade them up again...I am a lot more mobile than the "big" guys.

I personally think the "Made in China" play is another fad, much like CROX and similar sucka plays. With the economy in the dump now, it's only a matter of time before they all implode.

And, man, you should have seen the reaction (or rather personal attacks) I got when I made the bearish call on CROX when it was treading way up there. Man, was it ferocious. lol

"Made in China" is going down. You heard it hear first.

Here's a not-so-humorously funny quip:

Say Hello to my Little Friend : The bond insurers continue to flirt with disaster as they come out guns a-blazin' against measures to help them survive. MBIA's latest salvo would be funny if it weren't so fatally Scarface-esque. According to its CFO in today's congressional testimony, "MBIA is more than adequately capitalized to meet obligations to policyholders... [MBIA] is confident that the rigorous oversight it has always been subject to from state regulators and the rating agencies will continue to be more than adequate going forward." (Bloomberg via Naked Capitalism)
